The Maryland Book Bank

The Maryland Book Bank distributes more than 100,000 free books to children, teachers, schools, and organizations each year. Teachers and Librarians in Baltimore City Public Schools come to the Book Bank to gather books for their students and to build their classroom libraries. Families build home libraries and gather textbooks to homeschool their children. Head Start centers, Social Services, and more than 600 schools and organizations visit the Book Bank each year to get books for their programs. Over the last four years the Book Bank has donated more than 3,000 books to the Library Project.
